We are looking for an energetic individual who is well-versed in social media and basic marketing tools and concepts to help us coordinate our marketing efforts and effectively communicate with our growing user base. This role offers the intern full exposure to a mainstream, social app business and the successful candidate will work closely with key members of staff, external marketing consultants, as well as the app’s users. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among users and investors.
Coordinate the company’s social media channels - re-posting, commenting, etc.
Ensure uniform content, tone of voice and graphics within communities
Develop content for Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platforms
Develop content for Blog posts and newsletter
Find suitable content for re-purposing
Schedule content delivery, ensuring our platforms remain populated and relevant
Increase number of followers on all channels by engaging as appropriate
Communicate with users through email and the mobile app chat feature
Work with beta testing implementation
Gather feedback from users and organize in a digestible format
Run periodic errands as needed, other duties as assigned
Must have laptop computer
Fluent in the social media apps of Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
Proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Design Suite
Proficient in Google Sheets, Google Docs and Microsoft Office
Marketing Major preferred
Some previous marketing experience preferred
Proven written communication skills in both short- and long-copy
An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times
An entrepreneurial, service-focused attitude with excellent attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
