The GC Protocol is the world's first recognition protocol and was developed in August 2017, with the primary focus of being able to build a portable record of individual achievements, as told by others.
The GC Protocol is a level-two protocol on the Ethereum blockchain, designed for long-running multi-party transactions. It currently uses a public/private hybrid architecture. The protocol is intended to migrate to an open-source project with a community-based governance model as blockchain technology evolves and scalability improves.
GC Protocol Principles:
- Enable a delightful user experience
- Leverage best-in-class blockchain technology to create a repository of verifiable truth
- Contribute to and advocate for open-source projects
- Build a strong community of developers and advocates
